Epididymal Cyst
An epididymal cyst is a benign, usually painless extratesticular cyst; the key task is to confirm that the testis itself is normal and to escalate any uncertain or intratesticular mass.
Definition
A benign fluid-filled cyst arising from the epididymis, usually separate from the testis. A cyst containing spermatozoa is often called a spermatocele; management is guided by symptoms and diagnostic certainty.

An epididymal cyst arises from the epididymis, usually at its head, and can be separated from the testis on examination. A solid or inseparable intratesticular mass is a different problem and must follow the suspected-cancer pathway.
